Patch KDC-10 Royal Netherlands Air Force
Based on Studio11’s original KDC-10 artwork, this patch celebrates one of the most iconic aircraft in Dutch military aviation.
Before entering service with the Royal Netherlands Air Force, these aircraft began life as Martinair Holland DC-10s, carrying thousands of Dutch holidaymakers across the globe, from Europe to the Caribbean, Africa and beyond. Decades later, those same airframes were transformed into the KDC-10 Extender, becoming the backbone of Dutch air-to-air refuelling and strategic transport.
From its first missions in the 1990s to its final flights in 2021, the KDC-10 symbolised Dutch reach, reliability and quiet professionalism in military aviation.
The design features the KDC-10 in formation with F-16 Fighting Falcons, reflecting the aircraft’s vital role in supporting fast-jet operations around the world.
