FROM ARTWORK TO COLLECTOR OBJECT
In 2025, Studio11 partnered with UK-based Runway25 to explore how our visual language could extend beyond print and into a new physical format.
The collaboration centred on translating Studio11’s aviation artwork into collectible objects , retaining the character and identity of each aircraft while adapting the design to a medium deeply rooted in aviation culture.
Working across illustration, graphic design and product application, Studio11 developed each patch as an object in its own right. A format designed to bring our work closer to enthusiasts across the aviation community, while maintaining the visual clarity and attention to detail that define Studio11.
Runway25 brought its specialist experience in aviation and military patches to the collaboration, translating the designs into their final physical form.
DESIGNED TO BE DISTINCT.
Originally created for large-format prints, the Studio11 artwork introduced a new design challenge when translated into the much smaller patch format.
Rather than simply reproducing the original artwork, each design was carefully adapted for PVC, simplifying forms where necessary while preserving the details that give each aircraft its identity. Raised and recessed elements add depth to the design, turning the artwork into a tactile object of its own.
EXPANDING THE SERIES
The collaboration began with the KDC-10, followed by the KC-10 and Concorde 101 G-AXDN, three aircraft with very different roles and histories, brought together through a consistent visual approach.
Each release was developed as an individual collector piece while becoming part of a growing Studio11 × Runway25 series.
