Delivered new to Swissair on October 14th, 1983, HB-IPD was among the first examples of Airbus’s second aircraft type, the A310. More compact than the A300 it evolved from, this twinjet became a pioneering design in efficiency and versatility. Its shorter fuselage, refined aerodynamics, and modern flight deck marked a new direction for Airbus, setting the foundation for decades of success in wide-body aviation.
With this design, Studio11 pays tribute to a rare and remarkable aircraft, one that represents both the evolution of Airbus and the golden age of Swissair.
